A Memorial Day crash in Garner, North Carolina turned into a horrifying tragedy when 25-year-old Jordan Porter, allegedly drunk and high on marijuana, ran a red light in his Chevy Trailblazer. The collision claimed the lives of Tyler Campbell, 28, Susan Campbell, 29, and their beloved eight-year-old son, Miles Campbell.

Tyler and Susan were pronounced dead at the scene, while Miles was rushed to WakeMed Hospital. Sadly, he was declared brain dead the following day, leading to the decision to donate his organs.

Jordan, initially charged with driving while impaired, now faces three counts of second-degree murder, according to recent indictments. Despite not yet being apprehended, a bond of $3 million has been set for him.

Investigations revealed shocking details about Jordan's actions leading up to the crash. He was driving at an excessive speed of 82 mph in a 45 mph zone, and search warrants uncovered illegal substances in his vehicle, along with alcohol-related items.

Witnesses reported Jordan consuming alcohol and marijuana before driving, and DMV records indicated his vehicle had not undergone a safety inspection for over a year. His attorney, Karl Knudsen, expressed remorse for the tragedy but questioned the efficacy of a lifelong prison sentence for Jordan.

This incident isn't Jordan's first brush with the law, as he has faced numerous charges in the past, including hit and run, larceny, and previous traffic violations.

The devastating loss of the Campbell family has left their loved ones shattered. A memorial service is planned to honor their memory, bringing together a community in mourning for the lives cut short by this senseless act of negligence and recklessness.
