The New Christ Memorial Church in Los Angeles, where she preached, confirmed her passing on March 17 through a Facebook post. Assistant Pastor Kenneth J. Cook shared the sad news along with a heartfelt tribute, emphasizing Sandra's transition into eternal peace.


Throughout her illustrious career, Sandra Crouch garnered Grammy nominations and accolades for her contributions to gospel music. Born in a family deeply rooted in gospel traditions, she grew up alongside her brother Andraé, forming The COGICS and making significant strides in the music industry.

Sandra's solo career soared with albums like "We Sing Praises" and "We're Waiting," earning her Grammy recognition and praise for her soul-stirring performances.  She contributed percussion on recordings for Neil Diamond and Janis Joplin. Her work as a choir coordinator for Grammy productions, including Michael Jackson's performances, showcased her versatility and talent.
