Herbert Wigwe's father "slumps", rushed to hospital

Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, the father of the late former Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Dr. Herbert Wigwe, reportedly slumped earlier today, March 9, and was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.

This information was conveyed by popular influencer Tony Ogbuagu on X (formerly Twitter), who refuted reports of the elder Wigwe's passing. Ogbuagu clarified, "Herbert Wigwe’s father is not dead, please.

He only slumped and has been taken to the hospital. Make una slow down with all these bad news."

On the same day, mourners gathered in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State for the funeral service of Wigwe, his wife, Chizoba Doreen, and their son, Chizzy. They were laid to rest after a combined funeral service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo.

Wigwe, along with his wife and son, tragically lost their lives on Feb 9, 2024, in a helicopter crash in the United States.
