In a disturbing case of domestic violence, a man shoved his girlfriend onto subway tracks in a lower Manhattan subway station on Saturday morning, resulting in a horrific accident where an arriving train severed her feet, officials reported.

The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the Fulton Street subway station, according to the NYPD. The man allegedly pushed his girlfriend onto the tracks as a southbound 3 train approached, causing the train to amputate her feet.

Emergency services rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for treatment. Meanwhile, subway service resumed around 1 p.m., but NYPD detectives continued their investigation at the scene throughout the afternoon.

William C, a Good Samaritan with military experience, provided assistance to the victim after the train struck.

He described her as being lucid but frantic, expressing disbelief at what had happened and showing him a part of her flesh where she might have lost her leg.

William praised the victim's strength and resilience, hoping she wouldn't suffer significant loss of ability as a result.

The suspect fled the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing.
