Four people were killed and 14 others wounded in a mass shooting outside a popular Chicago nightclub late Wednesday night, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. near the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue in the Near North Side neighborhood, outside Artis Restaurant and Lounge. The venue, known for its upscale dining and nightlife, was hosting an album release party for local rapper Mello Buckzz.

The event had been promoted as a “private location” gathering that began at 7 p.m. As the party ended and patrons exited the club, gunfire erupted in what police have identified as a drive-by shooting.
Two men, ages 24 and 25, and two women were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims' ages range between 21 and 32. Four other victims were transported to local hospitals in either critical or serious condition, while additional victims sustained less severe injuries.

Authorities confirmed that multiple shooters were involved and fled the scene. As of Thursday morning, no arrests had been made, and a manhunt is underway.
The Chicago Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward as investigators review surveillance footage and interview witnesses.
The tragic shooting adds to the ongoing concerns about gun violence in the city, particularly in nightlife areas where large crowds gather.
