A Nigerian tricycle operator from Aba, Abia State, has become an internet sensation after a viral video captured his act of honesty and compassion. Mr. Lucky Okoro, a keke driver from Obingwa Local Government Area, narrated how he returned a handbag containing a whopping ₦4 million to a distressed Cameroonian woman who had left it behind in his tricycle.
According to Mr. Okoro, he had picked up the woman at a park in Aba and dropped her off at the bustling Ariaria Market. After she alighted, he discovered that she had forgotten her handbag in the tricycle. Upon opening it, he found a large sum of money—₦4 million in cash.

Instead of keeping the money, Mr. Okoro began searching for the woman immediately. He first returned to the car park where he picked her up but could not find her there. Determined, he headed back to Ariaria Market. There, he found the woman in tears, visibly distraught, and threatening to end her life over the lost funds.
Moved by her condition, Mr. Okoro handed over the handbag with the full amount untouched. He even went further to take her to a nearby hotel so she could calm down and rest before continuing her business the next day.

In the video, Mr. Okoro expressed deep satisfaction with his decision, stating that he acted out of his faith as a devout Jehovah’s Witness. He also revealed that while some of his friends mocked him and called him a fool for not taking the money, he remained firm in his belief that he did the right thing.
“I did it for Jehovah,” he said.
The story has sparked widespread praise online, with many hailing Mr. Lucky Okoro as a rare example of integrity and human kindness in today’s society.
