A number of horses, including one soaked in blood, ran amok through London Wednesday.

A group of British military horses, some of which were visibly injured, caused chaos in London on Wednesday as they broke free and ran through the streets near Buckingham Palace.

Reports indicate that at least five horses from the Household Cavalry, still equipped with saddles and bridles, were observed charging through central London, resulting in injuries to at least five individuals.

Two of the horses were spotted tearing through London's busy streets after tossing their riders and breaking free.

Videos shared on social media captured the intense scene, with one horse galloping past Buckingham Palace while others, including a blood-stained white horse, were seen racing through busy areas such as Tower Bridge and the Strand.

One of the horses collided with the windshield of a silver Mercedes-Benz, causing injuries to itself as well as damage to the vehicle. The incident occurred after the horses threw off their riders during exercise at Horse Guards Parade, a ceremonial ground in central London.

The rogue Household Cavalry horses, who were wearing saddles and bridles, were spotted charging through heart of the UK capital -- injuring at least five people.

Initial statements from London’s Metropolitan Police mentioned their awareness of the loose horses and their collaboration with the Army to locate them. The London Ambulance Service also responded to reports of a person thrown from a horse on Buckingham Palace Road, with four other injuries reported across different locations as the horses roamed free.

City of London Police reported that they had managed to contain two of the horses and were awaiting a horse box from the British Army to transport them to a veterinarian for assessment and treatment.
