A building reportedly housing a local restaurant on Oremeta Street in the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos collapsed around 8 a.m., leaving several individuals feared trapped beneath the rubble.
Emergency responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) swiftly arrived at the scene to commence search and rescue efforts. Speaking at the site, LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Damilola Oke-Osanyitolu, confirmed that operations would continue until responders "get to ground zero" to ensure no victims remain buried under the debris.

While there are concerns that lives may have been lost in the incident, no official casualties have been confirmed at the time of this report. Eyewitnesses and concerned residents gathered at the scene, watching as emergency personnel deployed equipment and search dogs to comb through the rubble.
Rescue operations remain ongoing as authorities intensify efforts to locate any remaining survivors and determine the cause of the structural failure.
