Cara Delevingne's $7million LA mansion DESTROYED in huge fire
Cara Delevingne's multi-million-dollar home in L.A.'s Fryman Canyon Park neighborhood was engulfed in flames in the early morning hours on Friday, resulting in a tragic scene captured in aerial footage after the fire was extinguished.
The fire at the two-story residence raged for nearly three hours, requiring the efforts of 94 firefighters who spent over two hours containing and putting out the blaze, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department. The incident occurred at the 3000 block of North Oakdell Lane, with the roof of the home collapsing before firefighters managed to quell the flames by 6:13 a.m. The LAFD confirmed that one firefighter was hospitalized in fair condition, while an occupant of the home suffered minor smoke inhalation.
Delevingne, who was in her native England during the fire, where she's currently starring as Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre, shared the news with her 42 million Instagram followers.
“My heart is broken today... I cannot believe it,” the supermodel-turned-actress expressed on Instagram Stories, posting a photo of her two cats that led many to believe they were missing but survived the ordeal. “Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have.” She also shared images of the emergency response scene outside her home, expressing gratitude to the firefighters and responders.
The lavish home, featured in Architectural Digest’s Open Door series, showcased its exuberant and eclectic decor. Delevingne, 31, described her home as reflecting various themes and moods, including a David Lynch-inspired poker room, a shrine to David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust, a games room, band room, and luxurious closets dedicated to her clothing and shoe collection.
