The TikTok community is poised to pay tribute to Cat Janice, the talented singer whose track "Dance You Outta My Head" recently captivated audiences on the platform. Cat, aged 31, passed away on February 28 after bravely battling sarcoma, an uncommon form of cancer affecting soft tissues and bones.


Announcing her passing on her Instagram page, Cat's family conveyed that she peacefully transitioned in the embrace of her childhood home, surrounded by love. They expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support received during Cat's illness, acknowledging the heartfelt gestures that uplifted both Cat and her family.


In the final months of her life, Cat voiced her poignant wish for users to stream her song "Dance You Outta My Head" on TikTok, aspiring to leave behind a lasting musical legacy for her beloved son, Loren, aged 7. She articulated on January 15th that her art was her sole bequest, a means for her son's future sustenance, as she faced the harsh reality of her mortality.



The response was resounding: Cat's song garnered 2.4 million uses on TikTok, a testament to the profound impact of her artistry. Witnessing her track ascend the charts earlier in the month left Cat in awe, expressing deep gratitude to her supporters for breathing life into her dreams during her most trying moments.


Diagnosed with cancer in 2022, Cat shared in January the grim progression of her sarcoma, acknowledging the formidable nature of her adversary. Despite her valiant fight, she acknowledged the likelihood of her journey's end, expressing gratitude for the love bestowed upon her and clinging to hope for a miraculous reprieve.

In the wake of Cat's passing, her brother Cubby will oversee her Instagram page as a tribute to her memory. Additionally, he will manage all aspects relating to Cat's music, merchandise, and public relations, honoring her wishes to continue sharing her artistic legacy. As per Cat's instructions, there are plans to unveil more of her art in the future, in due time.
