Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided on Monday as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation, according to reports and law enforcement sources.
The raid in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), according to Fox, which observed federal agents entering the home. Additionally, sources cited by The Post mentioned that a Miami home owned by Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was also raided on the same day.
Law enforcement sources informed The Post that federal agents moved in to seize Diddy's phones and computers before his planned trip out of the country. They also indicated that further raids are expected on properties associated with the mogul in New York and Chicago.
Footage from the scene showed DHS agents carrying out the raid at the Los Angeles home, with several individuals leaving the premises being detained by federal agents. Notably, Diddy’s sons, 30-year-old Justin and 25-year-old King, were seen being handcuffed by officers.
While it's unclear where Diddy himself is, flight data indicates that his private jet landed in Antigua on Monday morning, according to reports.
The raided home is owned by a division of Diddy’s record company, Bad Boy Entertainment, and one of his daughters. Both the California and Florida raids were led by the Homeland Security Investigations Human Trafficking Task Force, based on a search warrant issued by the Southern District of New York.
Regarding the sex trafficking allegations, at least four Jane Does and one John Doe have been interviewed by New York prosecutors, sources told Rolling Stone. Further interviews are anticipated as part of the investigation, which also includes inquiries into firearms charges and drug-related offenses, according to NBC News.
Diddy has faced legal challenges in recent months, including four lawsuits alleging historical sexual abuse, all of which he has denied. These lawsuits include claims from his former girlfriend Casandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, who alleged sexual abuse during their relationship, and a Jane Doe who accused Diddy of drugging and sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager.
In response to the raids, attorneys for Ventura and another accuser expressed hope that justice would be served for the alleged victims, while legal experts suggested that Diddy could be facing significant legal consequences if charges are brought against him by the Southern District of New York.
