Two elderly women were discovered dead inside a Warren, Michigan condo in what police believe was a premeditated suicide pact. The tragic scene was uncovered Wednesday morning when one of the women’s daughters entered the residence and found the bodies.

According to the Warren Police Department, 73-year-old Suzanne Leich was found lying on the kitchen floor with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Nearby, a 75-year-old woman—described as a longtime friend of Leich—was found slumped in a kitchen chair, dead from a gunshot wound to the chest. A handgun was located resting on her body.

Investigators reported that two handwritten notes were recovered at the scene, indicating the deaths were planned. The women had legally purchased the firearm used in the incident just one day before they were found.
Leich’s daughter, who made the grim discovery, reportedly did not recognize the second victim. Authorities later confirmed the woman was a Fraser resident and had been friends with Leich.

Police have not released the identity of the second woman pending notification of next of kin. The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the deaths and any potential mental health factors involved.
