An armed robbery targeting an armored vehicle occurred outside a U.S. Bank branch in Blue Island, Illinois, just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The FBI confirmed that three unidentified suspects, all armed with handguns, carried out the heist in broad daylight. No injuries were reported, but the suspects remain at large.

The incident took place at the U.S. Bank located at 11960 Western Avenue. According to investigators, three men approached the armored truck while it was parked outside the bank and proceeded to rob it at gunpoint. Surveillance footage captured the suspects—believed to be in their late teens to early 20s—with medium builds, dressed in dark-colored sweatpants, hooded sweatshirts, gray gloves, and dark face masks.

After executing the robbery, the men fled the scene in a car. It is unclear at this time how much money or valuables were stolen during the incident. Authorities have not announced any arrests, and the FBI is actively seeking information related to the suspects’ identities and whereabouts.
The FBI is leading the investigation and has released surveillance images of the suspects as part of an effort to gather public assistance. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
