Female Passenger Strips Naked and Screams Down the Aisle on Southwest Flight to Phoenix

A Southwest Airlines flight from Houston to Phoenix was delayed after a passenger caused a disturbance by removing her clothes and shouting before takeoff. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, prompting the aircraft to return to the gate before departure.

Authorities responded to a call at approximately 3:30 p.m. local time, reporting a disruptive passenger. Video footage captured during the incident showed the woman walking through the aisle without clothing while yelling.

The Houston Police Department stated that the woman was removed from the flight and transported to the NeuroPsychiatric Center at Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital for medical evaluation. No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

Southwest Airlines confirmed the event in a statement, explaining that local law enforcement met Flight 733 upon its return to the gate. The airline also expressed apologies to affected passengers for the delay.

Witnesses described the incident as unsettling, stating that the woman initially walked to the front of the plane while still clothed and began shouting. Passengers reported that she claimed to be bipolar before becoming more agitated, striking parts of the aircraft and eventually undressing.

Many passengers were surprised that no legal action was taken, particularly given the presence of children on board. The flight, originally scheduled for departure from Houston’s Hobby Airport, was delayed for over an hour before resuming its journey.
