At least four people were injured Saturday in a shooting during an alumni gathering at the Tyner Recreation Complex in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Authorities confirmed that all victims were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Chattanooga Police Department reported that the shooting took place during an event attended by graduates of Tyner High School—now known as Tyner Middle High Academy. The school was recently reopened following the demolition of its former campus and the construction of a new facility.
Police have not yet released information regarding a suspect or whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

According to earlier announcements from the Tyner Alumni Association, 38 graduating classes were expected to participate in this year’s alumni weekend celebration.
Eyewitness Jeoff Herman described the chaos that unfolded during the event. “Everybody was just having a good time,” he said. “Then all of a sudden, shots just started going everywhere. Little kids and babies and everything were on the ground.”
The incident has sparked renewed concern over community safety at public and family-oriented events. Local authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
