Ghanaian Bishop calls out his countrymen for supporting Nigerian pastors more than Ghanaian pastors following Pastor Jerry Eze's visit to the country (video)

Bishop Sam Owusu has criticized Ghanaians for showing more respect and admiration to pastors from other countries than to their own local pastors. His remarks came in response to the large turnout at an event hosted by Nigerian online pastor, Jerry Eze, in Ghana.
Expressing his disappointment, Owusu addressed his congregation, highlighting the hypocrisy he observed among Ghanaians. He emphasized the lack of appreciation for local pastors, stating, "We don't respect our own, we don't honor our own, and we don't love our own. We seem to celebrate foreigners more than our own, yet there is little reciprocity from foreigners towards Ghanaians."
Owusu pointed out the tendency for Ghanaian Christians to show more reverence towards Nigerian pastors compared to their local counterparts. He lamented the situation, attributing it to a historical pattern of disregarding and even persecuting local prophets and men of God.
He concluded by urging Ghanaians to recognize and appreciate the anointed men of God within their own country, rather than constantly seeking validation from abroad.
In his own words, Bishop Owusu said: "He said: "I am very surprised about Ghanaians, how hypocrisy we are. We don't respect our own, and we don't honour our own, and we don't love our own. We celebrate foreigners than our own. But there is no foreigner that will celebrate Ghanaian."
"Look at how Ghanaian members and Ghanaian Christians follow Nigerian pastors and respect Nigerian men of God than even Ghanaian pastors."
“That’s why we kill all our prophets. That's why we kill all our men of God. As if we don't have anointed men of God in this country."
