An Indiana Walmart employee was violently attacked by a group of women on Friday at an Indianapolis store, in a shocking incident captured on a viral video. The footage shows the employee, identified as Tikerra Hicks, being restrained and repeatedly assaulted at a checkout aisle while co-workers and bystanders struggled to intervene.

The video, recorded by a witness, depicts a woman in black holding Hicks down as another in a pink shirt delivers multiple punches. A third woman is seen stomping on the employee while a male suspect joins in, kicking Hicks as the chaos escalates. Co-workers eventually helped Hicks to her feet, but the attackers continued to strike and hurl objects. Two bystanders stepped in to restrain the mob until the employee was safely removed.

Butler said the attack appeared to be targeted immediately upon Hicks entering the store. Hicks explained that she had been receiving calls regarding an alleged sexual assault involving a friend, but she was not involved. “I just hear, ‘There she go’ and then boom on the side of my head I feel somebody hitting me,” Hicks said, adding that she had known one of the women in the mob for years. “The alleged rape has nothing to do with me… I wasn’t there to protect or defend anyone.”

Police reports show Hicks was named as an “other person” in a related rape investigation, though she denies any involvement. Following the assault, Hicks said she was suspended by Walmart. Authorities have not disclosed if any arrests have been made.
