Here's Jaafar Jackson, all geared up to embody the essence of his late uncle, the King of Pop, on the set of the upcoming MJ biopic. It's uncanny how he mirrors Michael Jackson's image.

Jaafar was fully transformed with hair, makeup, and costume on Thursday at the Encino, Los Angeles filming location. Cameras rolled as "Michael," the first official film to delve into MJ's life, took shape.

The family resemblance is striking in the initial glimpse of Jaafar Jackson portraying his uncle Michael Jackson in the highly anticipated biopic.

Director Antoine Fuqua recently shared a photo of Jaafar in character as Michael, captured by the esteemed photographer Kevin Mazur, who famously documented Michael’s final rehearsal.

In the image, Jaafar, the 27-year-old son of Jermaine Jackson, dons the iconic attire reminiscent of Jackson's performance of “Man in the Mirror” during the Dangerous World Tour of 1992-93.

Mazur commented, “Seeing Jaafar perform, I thought, ‘Wow, it is Michael.' His appearance, mannerisms, everything — he embodies Michael Jackson. For those who missed seeing Michael live, this is a true reflection.”

Currently filming in Los Angeles, “Michael” promises a deep dive into the life of the multifaceted artist who became the King of Pop. It will showcase Jackson’s legendary performances while offering insight into his creative process and personal life.

Fuqua, known for his work on “Training Day” and “The Equalizer” films, emphasized the authenticity of the project, with creatives from Michael’s past collaborating on the family-approved endeavor.

"But it's Jaafar who truly channels Michael. It goes beyond physical resemblance; it's the essence of Michael's spirit that shines through," Fuqua remarked. "Experiencing it is believing it."

The production commenced last month, with acclaimed actors Colman Domingo and Nia Long portraying Jackson's parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson.

Developed by Oscar-winning producer Graham King and sanctioned by Jackson’s estate, “Michael” is slated to hit theaters in April 2025.

Michael Jackson's son, Prince, eagerly anticipates his father's biopic.
