Kanye West, 47, ignited a firestorm of speculation and backlash following a chaotic livestream in which he appeared to claim he was gay during a heated rant concerning his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and their ongoing custody issues. Wearing an all-black outfit and a face mask, the rapper ranted about not seeing the four children he shares with Kardashian, 44, before seemingly concluding with the statement: “I ain’t got no motherf****** legacy n****, why the f*** you think I am s****ing out… I’m gay… in charge of my legacy and I’m gay.”
The comment was met with confusion online, with many debating whether West said “I’m gay” or repeated “I’m Ye,” referring to himself in the third person. The ambiguity followed a series of controversial posts on his X account, including one where he bizarrely claimed to have engaged in inappropriate behavior with his male cousin until the age of 14. While teasing a new song titled COUSINS, he wrote a graphic confession regarding childhood experiences, accompanied by a rainbow emoji and the message: “This is my new logo,” later stating he was “not actually gay.”

In the same livestream, West expressed frustration over his custody arrangement, saying, “I’mma go get these kids, bro… I got to get used to not seeing my kids,” and blamed social media personality DJ Akademiks for “putting the battery in his back.” The Stronger rapper also lamented that a white woman was in charge of his Black children, and controversially declared he wished he had fathered children with Paris Hilton instead of Kim Kardashian, referencing Hilton’s former assistant relationship with Kardashian. “Could you imagine if I had kids with Paris Hilton? How many hotels I would have right now? The Hilton. The Hilton s***,” he said.
Shortly after making the statements, West was banned from Twitch just 10 minutes into streaming.
Beyond personal matters, West remains engulfed in public outrage over a series of antisemitic remarks and behavior. On February 11, Shopify shut down the shop on his Yeezy website after he began selling a white T-shirt emblazoned with a black swastika, labeled “HH-01” — an apparent reference to “Heil Hitler.” The Anti-Defamation League condemned the move, saying the shirt and its associated Super Bowl ad promoted vile antisemitism.

On February 20, West doubled down in social media posts, promising to perform at next year’s Super Bowl wearing the same shirt and mocking the public reaction: “Next year I’m performing at the Super Bowl wearing my wittle T shirt. People with money bought my wittle t shirt.” He added that while Shopify reinstated his account, he had no intention of using it again.
Kim Kardashian, in response to West’s increasingly erratic conduct, has reportedly heightened her security. Sources close to the reality star say she now employs round-the-clock protection and has instructed her inner circle to avoid posting anything that could reveal her or her children’s whereabouts.

“She’s absolutely horrified,” a source revealed. “Like every time things get bad with Kanye, somehow they get worse.”
Despite their 2022 divorce settlement granting joint custody, West has frequently accused Kardashian of withholding access to their children. He recently wrote in frustration, “I HAVENT SEEN SAINT THIS YEAR,” although photographic evidence places him with Saint, Chicago, and Psalm earlier this year.
West, who recently returned from Japan and has been working on new music, continues to share cryptic and provocative posts, leaving fans, critics, and even close family increasingly concerned.
