Karol G's private plane makes emergency landing in LA after cockpit fills with smoke
Karol G's private plane reportedly made an emergency landing in Los Angeles after smoke filled the cockpit.
According to KABC, the Grammy-winning singer and her entourage made an emergency landing on Thursday.
The outlet released video footage of the incident in a post to X. The pilot landed at Van Nuys Airport after reporting smoke in the cockpit. The private aircraft departed from Burbank Airport Thursday evening with 16 people on board. Upon reaching the Cajon Pass, the pilot encountered a problem and decided to turn back.
KABC reported that the plane made a smooth landing at the airport at about 9 p.m., adding that Karol G was spotted on the tarmac, embracing friends and associates. The 32-year-old singer's plane was identified by the iconic barbed-wire heart logo, which is also tattooed on the artist's arm.
The outlet reported that no injuries were apparent. Karol G, whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro, has won a Grammy and five Latin Grammys. Her latest album, "Mañana Será Bonito" (Bichota Season), became the first Spanish-language album to debut at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100 English language chart, according to KABC.
