Kelly Clarkson filed a new lawsuit against her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock and his father's management firm, Starstruck Entertainment, alleging violations of labor laws dating back to 2007. This follows a previous lawsuit where Clarkson was ordered over $2.6 million.
The lawsuit claims Starstruck operated without a talent agency license, acting as "unlicensed talent agents" for Clarkson. She seeks to declare agreements with Starstruck as void, demanding the return of all money received by the firm.
Clarkson's legal battle with Blackstock began in 2020 during their divorce, with Starstruck claiming unpaid commissions. Clarkson argued Starstruck acted unlawfully as her manager, leading to the recent court order for Blackstock to repay over $2.6 million.
Blackstock is appealing the decision and requesting a new trial.
