Rapper Scott Mescudi, known professionally as Kid Cudi, testified in a New York courtroom that his $140,000 Porsche 911 Cabriolet was firebombed in 2012, allegedly after Sean “Diddy” Combs discovered Cudi had been seeing Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura. The revelation came during Diddy's ongoing federal trial, where the music mogul faces serious charges including sex trafficking.

Mescudi said the luxury vehicle was torched by a Molotov cocktail, with attackers also slashing its convertible roof. According to a Los Angeles Fire Department report presented in court, the fire was determined to be “intentional” and caused by an incendiary device.

The rapper claimed he had reason to believe Diddy was behind the attack, calling him “violent” and revealing that Combs had once broken into his Los Angeles home after learning of his relationship with Ventura. Mescudi said Ventura called him in distress on December 22, 2011, around 5:30 a.m., telling him that Combs had discovered their involvement and had demanded his address. Fearing for her safety, Mescudi picked her up and brought her to a nearby hotel.

While en route, Mescudi called Diddy and confronted him. “Motherf*****, you in my house?” he recounted asking. Diddy reportedly replied, “I just wanna talk.” When Mescudi arrived at his home, no one was there—but he found opened gifts and his dog locked in the bathroom. Citing safety concerns, he ended the relationship with Ventura shortly after.

On January 9, 2012, Mescudi’s dog sitter called to report the Porsche was in flames. Photos shown in court revealed blackened leather seats, smoke damage, and a roof that had been slashed. The next day, Mescudi confronted Combs at the SoHo House in Hollywood. Mescudi testified that during their meeting, Diddy stood ominously by a window and dismissed any involvement. “What are we going to do about my car?” Mescudi recalled asking during a handshake. Diddy allegedly responded with a cold stare and said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Prosecutors also presented testimony from Ventura, who stated that Combs had explicitly threatened her and Mescudi. She said she broke off the relationship over Christmas 2011, after Combs threatened to harm both of them. Ventura claimed Diddy said that Mescudi’s car would be “blown up” and that his friends would witness it.

Under cross-examination, Mescudi admitted he had no direct evidence that Combs or his affiliates were present at his home the night of the arson. He also acknowledged that Ventura was not fully honest with him, saying he was “played” and surprised to learn she had still been dating Combs at the time.

Additional testimony painted a pattern of alleged abuse by Combs. George Kaplan, a former executive assistant, testified about a disturbing 2015 incident on Diddy’s private jet where he witnessed Combs allegedly standing over a frightened Ventura with a glass in his hand after a crash was heard. Kaplan, who worked for Diddy for just over a year, said he also witnessed Ventura with visible bruises on multiple occasions and ultimately resigned over what he called “scary” behavior, including Combs throwing objects at another woman.

Kaplan admitted to being in awe of Diddy when first hired, describing his boss as having “infectious” energy and calling the experience “like drinking from a firehose.” But he concluded that he could no longer tolerate the alleged abuse.

Celebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales also testified, recalling an incident in a Beverly Hills hotel room in 2010 where she heard Ventura screaming. After Combs exited the room, she found Ventura with a swollen eye, busted lip, and knots on her head.

Further testimony came from Frederic Zemmour, general manager of the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, who presented staff notes about Diddy’s stays. The notes described chronic property damage, excessive use of oils and candles, and the need for deep cleaning and air freshening. The manager’s log specifically noted candle wax damage and requests to maintain rooms at high temperatures—conditions prosecutors claim were linked to Diddy’s so-called “Freak Offs.”

This trial has exposed disturbing allegations surrounding one of hip-hop’s most influential figures, with testimony ranging from personal trauma to explosive acts of violence.
