A Long Island exterminator was arrested on Thursday for allegedly filming a 19-year-old undressing on a hidden camera he set up after getting chemicals on her clothing.

Walter Rivas, employed by Joroba Pest Control, was contracted by the teen to exterminate her apartment in Mineola that afternoon, according to Nassau police.

While spraying the home with a solution to eliminate pests, some of the chemicals reportedly splashed onto the young woman. Concerned for her safety, Rivas advised her to change her clothing immediately, citing the poisonous nature of the chemicals.

As she changed in her bedroom, the teenager noticed a bucket with a hole placed on her bed. Upon closer inspection, she discovered a cell phone inside the bucket, actively recording through the hole, as per police reports.

The victim promptly contacted the authorities, leading to Rivas's arrest without incident shortly before 3 p.m.

The West Hempstead exterminator has been charged with unlawful surveillance in the second degree and is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
