A tragic and horrifying incident has rocked the Kabeama community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, where a man known only as Tony stands accused of beheading his girlfriend, Maxuel Ebibraladei. The victim and Tony shared a child together, adding a layer of complexity and sorrow to the already harrowing situation.
According to reports from concerned neighbours, the fatal incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024. At dawn, the gruesome discovery of Ebibraladei's severed head sent shockwaves through the community, prompting swift action from residents who apprehended Tony before he could flee the scene. He was promptly handed over to the authorities for further investigation and detainment.
The remains of the deceased have been respectfully deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa, while Tony awaits legal proceedings at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
In the wake of this senseless act of violence, community members are struggling to comprehend what could have driven Tony to commit such a heinous crime. Described as generally easy-going, the sudden and brutal nature of his alleged actions has left many bewildered and deeply saddened.
