The body of a missing Pennsylvania woman was found Sunday inside a metal container on a remote, wooded property in Montour Township, ending a multi-agency search that spanned several days. Authorities identified the remains of 33-year-old Katlyn Harp by her distinctive tattoos. Her husband, 39-year-old Vincent Lloyd Harp, has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence.
Katlyn was last seen on June 19 at her home in Bloomsburg. Her disappearance triggered an intensive search involving Pennsylvania State Police, K-9 units, drone teams, and volunteers throughout Columbia County. After several days of searching, investigators traced digital and physical evidence to a secluded 38-acre forested property formerly owned by Vincent Harp.

Authorities say Harp's cell phone data showed suspicious activity, including a visit to a gas station in Danville where he purchased gloves on June 20. He then returned to the wooded land off Harp Lane, a location he repeatedly visited in the days following Katlyn’s disappearance. Investigators believe he used this time to conceal her body.
Katlyn’s body was found locked in a metal container hidden near a steep embankment. Forensic specialists confirmed her identity through matching tattoos. The box used to hide her remains was reportedly similar to one Vincent Harp had previously kept in the back of his pickup truck. Investigators also revealed that Harp sold the truck shortly after her disappearance, with suspected human blood found in the vehicle.

Columbia County Coroner Jeremy Reese pronounced Katlyn dead at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. While the autopsy is pending, preliminary evidence at the scene supports a homicide determination.
The breakthrough in the case was largely driven by Katlyn’s sister, Heather Lane, and a network of community volunteers. After days of searching, it was this grassroots effort that ultimately led authorities to the hidden location. "WE!!!!!! Found her! Emphasize the WE!" Lane posted online after officials confirmed the grim discovery.

Katlyn is remembered by loved ones as a devoted mother of two and a kind-hearted woman whose warmth and laughter touched everyone around her. Candlelight vigils were held in her hometown of Lewistown on Sunday as the community mourned her loss.
Vincent Harp was arraigned Sunday night before Magisterial District Judge Brenda Hess Williams and denied bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 14.
The investigation remains active as Pennsylvania State Police continue gathering evidence and conducting interviews in the wake of this tragic crime.
