Three shooters opened fire at a school bus stop in Louisville, Kentucky, on Wednesday morning, leaving an adult female hospitalized and sparking panic among nearby students. The incident unfolded around 8 a.m. near a Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) bus stop, close to Coleridge-Taylor Montessori Elementary School and Central High School.
Police confirmed the woman was transported to University Hospital, though her condition remains unknown. Louisville Metro Police Department officials stated that there are currently no outstanding suspects and no arrests have been made.

Witnesses reported children running for safety as gunfire erupted. Coleridge-Taylor Montessori Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown but later reopened once the scene was secured.
The shooting occurred just days after a separate incident in the same area on West Chestnut Street on August 7, when a 15-year-old boy allegedly opened fire on a school bus stop as students gathered for the first day of classes. While no one was injured in that case, the teen was charged with 33 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of possession of a handgun by a minor.
This latest attack has heightened concerns over student safety in the area as police continue their investigation.
