Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of Mr. Ibu, a prominent figure in Nollywood, has bravely opened up about her tumultuous marriage to her former spouse.

Their union, initiated in 2022, came to an abrupt end after merely nine months, leaving Jasmine to reflect on the highs and lows of their time together.

In her own words, she expressed, “This was the best nine months of my life! I have no regrets! I won't settle for repeatedly asking you about this before we start! I was devastated to learn this from your mother today. A foundation built upon a tiny lie won't stand! I love how you loved me! But hate how you never mentioned your divorce or kids to me! Moving on, I don’t think I want anybody else! Just gonna love you from a distance.”

During an honest conversation with Chude Jideonwo, Jasmine disclosed startling revelations about the demise of her marriage.

She recounted how her husband had deceived her about his age, claiming to be 38, only for her to discover the truth on their wedding day—he was actually 51.

Furthermore, Jasmine revealed that her husband had assured her he had never been married or fathered children, but these claims turned out to be false.

In Jasmine's own words, she expressed, “Mr. Ibu’s daughter, Jasmine has revealed that her husband told her he was 38 years old but she found out he was 51 years old on their wedding day. “This guy told me he has never married in his life, or gotten a lady pregnant, in fact, he told me he was 38 years old. The day I found out that my husband was 51 years old was on our wedding day.”
