Chilling details have emerged about a New Hampshire mother who carried out a murder-suicide that claimed the lives of her husband and two children. Emily Long, 34, fatally shot her 48-year-old husband Ryan Long and their two eldest children — Parker, 8, and Ryan, 6 — before taking her own life inside their Madbury home early Monday. The couple’s youngest child, a 3-year-old, was found alive and unharmed in the residence.
In the months leading up to the tragedy, Emily shared several troubling TikTok videos on her private account that revealed her emotional struggles and mental decline. In one seven-minute clip titled “watch me brag about my husband for 7 minutes”, she described Ryan — who had been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer — as “literally the best human on this planet” and a “phenomenally perfect man.”

Throughout the video, Emily admitted she was “very outspoken, very impulsive, emotionally driven,” adding that she tended to “fly off the cuff, not like in a violent way.” She contrasted her personality with Ryan’s, saying he was her “perfect opposite” who lived by an unshakable code of ethics.
The mother of three reflected on how much she leaned on her husband and confessed she could not imagine life without him. “I think one of the things I’m going to miss is being able to show him how wonderful he’s been to me and he can enjoy that. I think that bums me out,” she said in the video, expressing fear about the future if he lost his cancer battle.

Emily also acknowledged in other TikTok posts that she needed professional help, further signaling her deteriorating mental health.
Authorities say Emily Long’s actions shocked the quiet Madbury community, as her online tributes painted a picture of devotion rather than violence. Investigators have not disclosed whether Ryan’s cancer diagnosis played a role in her motive.
The tragic case remains under investigation as officials work to piece together what led to the fatal shootings.
