An overprotective New Jersey father, Aaron Thomas, 38, was arrested after a video surfaced showing him entering a classroom at Paulsboro High School in Gloucester County, demanding an apology from a teenage boy to his daughter.

In the video posted to Instagram, Thomas is seen confronting the teenager, insisting that he apologize to his daughter. Despite the teenager's denial of any wrongdoing, Thomas's demands grow louder and more aggressive.

After more than a minute of confrontation, an adult intervenes and tries to escort Thomas out of the room, but Thomas continues to engage with another student before eventually leaving the classroom and school property.

It remains unclear how Thomas gained access to the classroom or located the student with whom his daughter had a dispute. He was at the high school to sign out his daughter, who was reportedly having an issue with the student over shared photos.

The school's head of security was only notified after Thomas had left, and it took another three hours for school officials to contact the police.

Thomas was arrested and charged with simple assault, making terroristic threats, trespassing, and disorderly conduct. He was released until a trial, with conditions including no contact with the students involved or their families.

The parents of the 15-year-old boy confronted by Thomas criticized school officials for their slow response and are considering removing their son from the public school district due to safety concerns. They rejected the notion that Thomas was defending his daughter, labeling his actions as cowardly.

The school district assured parents that they are cooperating with the police investigation and have communicated with all involved parties.
