Nigerian Afrobeat Singer, Shallipopi, Davido’s Manager, Israel DMW Involved In Car Accident In Abuja

A rising star in Nigerian Afrobeat, Crown Uzama, professionally known as Shallipopi, was involved in a car accident in the early hours of Sunday following his concert in Abuja, the country's capital.

Israel DMW, a logistics manager for Nigerian sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, disclosed the incident on his Instagram story.

According to Israel, he and Shallipopi were en route to the hotel when the accident occurred due to a collision.

Footage on IsraelDMW’s Instagram depicted two SUVs involved in the incident, one displaying a shattered bonnet, door, and taillight, while the second vehicle had a burst front tire.

Israel DMW stated, “Shallipopi and I just experienced an accident after another vehicle collided with us on our way back to the hotel post-show. I was in the front seat, while Shallipopi was in the back. Thanks to the Almighty and our Edo ancestors, neither of us sustained any injuries whatsoever.”

Previous posts on Israel’s Instagram indicated his presence at the concert to support Shallipopi, who shared the stage with several other prominent musicians on Saturday night.
