Nathaniel Radimak, the Tesla-driving man infamous for a series of road rage assaults in Southern California, was beaten by fellow inmates at Halawa Correctional Facility in Hawaii just days after being arrested for a new violent incident involving two women in Honolulu.

The Hawaii Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed that Radimak, 39, was assaulted shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Monday in a prison housing unit. He sustained injuries to his face and torso and was transported to Queen’s Medical Center for treatment. A photo taken afterward showed Radimak seated in a wheelchair, wearing an orange jumpsuit with severe facial bruising. The department said the matter remains under investigation and declined to provide further details.

Radimak had been arrested in Waikiki on May 8, following a violent road rage confrontation on May 7. According to police, an 18-year-old woman was attempting to parallel park on Halekauwila Street when a gray 2022 Tesla with Oregon plates sped by. Words were exchanged between her and the driver. The man—later identified as Radimak—exited his vehicle and allegedly assaulted the teen and her 35-year-old mother, Diane Ung, before fleeing the scene.

Ung recounted the encounter, stating that her daughter had asked the speeding driver to slow down. Radimak allegedly responded with aggression, approached the two women, and struck them in the face. Ung described being punched so hard that she fell to the ground, suffering a gash to her head. An infant inside the teen’s vehicle was unharmed during the assault.

Radimak was arrested the next day and charged with two counts of assault and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

This violent outburst occurred less than a year after Radimak’s release from a California prison. In 2023, the California Highway Patrol arrested him after multiple dashcam videos captured him attacking other motorists while driving a Tesla Model X with no rear license plate. In one viral incident on January 11, 2023, Radimak was seen jumping out of his vehicle with a pipe and striking a truck behind him.

His history of violence also includes an encounter at a Los Angeles storage facility in November 2022, where he harassed and followed a woman named Gracia, shouting racist and profane remarks before driving off. Radimak’s arrest in February 2023 led to charges including four counts of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, four counts of criminal threats, and one count of felony vandalism. Police also discovered nearly $30,000 worth of steroids in his car at the time of his arrest.

Though sentenced to five years in prison, Radimak served only 10 months. According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, he was released in August 2023 after receiving 424 days of credit for time served, 212 days for actual time in jail, and 212 days for good behavior.

Radimak’s most recent arrest and subsequent assault in prison add yet another chapter to his long list of violent incidents, raising serious questions about the parole system and the risk he continues to pose to public safety.
