In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, photographer Emilio Garcia claimed that he was unfairly terminated from his job with Megan Thee Stallion and was subjected to abuse while working for her.

Garcia alleged that during a night out in Ibiza, Spain, in 2022, he was in an SUV with Megan when she engaged in sexual activity with another woman next to him. He stated that he felt embarrassed and offended during the incident but was unable to leave the moving vehicle, as they were in a foreign country and he would have been stranded. According to the lawsuit, the next day, Megan warned Garcia not to discuss what he saw and verbally abused and body-shamed him.

Megan's lawyer, Alex Spiro, dismissed the lawsuit as an employment claim for money and denied any sexual harassment allegations. Spiro stated that Megan would contest the lawsuit in court.

The lawsuit further claimed that Garcia had considered resigning due to being overworked, underpaid, and subjected to a hostile work environment exacerbated by Megan's possessive and abusive behavior. Despite being treated as an exclusive employee, Garcia was classified as an independent contractor.

After discussing these issues with Megan, Garcia was terminated the following day after four years of working for her. He has since filed a job discrimination complaint with the California Civil Rights Department.

The lawsuit, which was first reported by NBC News, names Megan, her companies Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment and Hot Girl Touring, and her label, Roc Nation, as defendants. Garcia is seeking financial damages, alleging emotional and physical suffering due to his treatment on the job, his termination, and the incident in the SUV.

Megan Thee Stallion, aged 29, gained significant attention after being involved in a shooting by rapper Tory Lanez in 2020. Lanez was convicted of multiple felonies related to the incident. Megan has since become a prominent figure in hip-hop, winning a Grammy for best new artist in 2021 and achieving chart-topping success with songs like “Savage” and “WAP.”
