Police Nab Lecturer For Raping, Molesting Four Students In Yobe

The Yobe State Police Command has apprehended Mr. Adamu Garba Hudu, a lecturer at Al-Ma’arif College of Health Science and Technology, Potiskum, a private school in Potiskum LGA of Yobe State, on suspicion of rape.


Mr. Hudu, who is employed at the state General Hospital, Potiskum, and also serves as a visiting lecturer at Al-Ma’arif, was taken into custody following accusations of sexually assaulting one of his students and engaging in coercive behavior under the guise of academic advancement.


Reports indicate that Mr. Hudu, a lecturer specializing in Mental Health Psychiatric Nursing, was arrested after allegations surfaced regarding his exploitation of students for sexual favors in exchange for academic favoritism.

The arrest occurred subsequent to the reported rape of a student within his office premises at the General Hospital.


According to DSP Dungus Abdulkareem, the Public Relations Officer of the Yobe State Police Command, Mr. Hudu faces charges of rape, molestation, and breach of trust. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.

DSP Dungus disclosed that the lecturer stands accused of molesting and sexually assaulting students both at the school where he teaches and within his office at the state General Hospital, Potiskum.


Furthermore, it has been reported that at least four students have come forward as victims of his predatory behavior, alleging that Mr. Hudu habitually exploits his position of authority to manipulate students into sexual encounters in exchange for academic progression.


"The suspect is currently in our custody. He was apprehended on Tuesday on charges of alleged rape, molestation, and breach of trust. Our investigation into the matter continues," stated the Police PRO.
