A 30-year-old cafeteria worker at East Central High School in San Antonio, Texas, has been arrested after allegedly engaging in a daily sexual relationship with a senior student in a campus kitchen closet. Jenna Woodworth, employed by the school’s nutrition department since 2011, faces a second-degree felony charge of improper relationship between an educator and a student, which carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

According to an arrest affidavit, Woodworth allegedly met the student in a stadium parking lot, used a school district vehicle to transport him back to campus, and entered through a staff-only entrance to have sex in a kitchen closet. The student told investigators the encounters occurred multiple times, including on Monday and Tuesday of last week, with Woodworth washing her hands afterward and returning to work.
Authorities discovered a photo of the student in Woodworth’s work locker following her arrest. Both Woodworth and the teen later admitted to the inappropriate relationship during police interviews. The student stated they had known each other since his freshman year and that Woodworth would become upset if he did not acknowledge her.

School administrators took immediate action upon learning of the allegations, terminating Woodworth’s employment and notifying the student’s family. Child Protective Services has been involved in the investigation. In a letter to parents, the district condemned the misconduct, stating, "Any inappropriate relationship between a staff member and a student violates the trust placed in our employees and is wholly unacceptable."

Woodworth was booked into Bexar County Jail and released on $50,000 bail. While the age of consent in Texas is 17, state law prohibits school employees from engaging in sexual relationships with students, regardless of consent. The victim’s exact age has not been disclosed.
