A 38-year-old man with a history of lewd conduct arrests has been taken into custody again after allegedly engaging in the same disturbing behavior at a Walgreens in Burbank.
Calese Crowder was arrested Wednesday after employees called police to report his actions inside the store. Authorities confirmed he has been charged with a felony and is being held without bail. Court records indicate Crowder was on parole at the time of his latest arrest.

Crowder has a documented history of similar offenses dating back to 2021. Just last month, he was arrested after reportedly loitering in the women’s department of a Nordstrom Rack in Burbank. In that case, he was held on $100,000 bail after officers found him later at a nearby Walmart, where police said he followed a female shopper and crouched near her inappropriately.
According to investigators, he was seen “engaging in lewd behavior by inappropriately sniffing her buttocks.” Despite the seriousness of the charges, he was eventually released before being arrested again this week.

In August 2023, Crowder gained notoriety when a video recorded by a woman named Michaela Witter at a Barnes & Noble in Burbank went viral on TikTok. The footage appeared to show him crouching near her legs, prompting her to accuse him of sniffing her from behind. Crowder claimed he was tying his shoes at the time, though Witter insisted his actions were intentional. She later alleged that he targeted another woman at the store as well.
Police say the repeated incidents show a troubling pattern of behavior that has alarmed both shoppers and employees at multiple businesses across the city.
