The alleged semi-truck driver who killed three people while making a U-turn at an “Official Use Only” turn on the Florida Turnpike is an ILLEGAL MIGRANT who was granted a commercial driver’s license by the State of California.

Three people were killed in a violent collision after a tractor-trailer attempted an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike near Fort Pierce, blocking all lanes of oncoming traffic and leaving a minivan with no time to stop.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Tuesday when the truck, driven by Harjinder Singh, made a sudden hard left across the highway and tried to cross the median using an “official use only” access point, according to investigators. The trailer stretched across all southbound lanes as it entered the restricted crossover.

Dashcam footage from inside the truck’s cab shows a black minivan approaching at full speed with no chance to avoid impact. Seconds later, the vehicle crashed into the side of the trailer and became wedged underneath.

Photos from the scene show the minivan completely destroyed, its roof torn away and debris scattered across the highway. Two members of the minivan’s three-person group died instantly, while the driver was pulled from the wreckage and later died at a nearby hospital.

The victims were identified as a 37-year-old woman from Pompano Beach, a 30-year-old man from Florida City, and a 54-year-old man from Miami.

Singh, who held a California commercial driver’s license, remained motionless and expressionless during and after the crash, according to footage and witness accounts. He reportedly exited the cab and watched responders lift the trailer off the van to recover the victims’ remains.

Authorities have charged Singh with three counts of vehicular homicide. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has issued a detainer after determining he entered the United States illegally in 2018 after crossing the Mexican border. If convicted, Singh is expected to serve his sentence in Florida before being deported.

“Three people lost their lives as a result of his recklessness,” said Dave Kerner, executive director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. “He will no longer be able to damage and destroy the lives of Floridians and visitors.”
