A 12-year-old British girl endured 72 hours of unimaginable horror after being lured by three Slovakian men in Dover, Kent, who drugged and repeatedly raped her before she bravely escaped through a window. The traumatized child, who now suffers night terrors and refuses to leave home without her parents, told her family she "wanted to die" following the August 2023 assault.
Kevin Horvath, 26, Ivan Turtak, 38, and Ernest Gunar, 27, preyed on the vulnerable schoolgirl in an Asda car park before subjecting her to a prolonged nightmare. They plied her with crystal meth and amphetamines, then raped her in multiple locations—including a car, Turtak’s flat, and a filthy caravan in Folkestone. The girl only escaped after overhearing the men threaten to kill her if she tried to flee.

During the trial at Canterbury Crown Court, prosecutor Hannah Llewellyn-Waters described how the girl was "used, abused, and discarded like trash," passed between the predators for their "callous, degrading" gratification. Forensic evidence, including DNA on her body and clothing, sealed their guilt.
The victim’s parents, speaking anonymously, revealed their once-outgoing daughter is now a "completely different child"—terrified of the dark, unable to sleep alone, and waking screaming nightly. She initially lied to police, claiming she’d walked to Folkestone, before breaking down at home. "She said she wanted to die," her mother wept.

Despite the men’s claims they believed she was older, Turtak was convicted of raping a child under 13 and possessing indecent images. Horvath and Gunar also admitted multiple child rape charges. All three remain jailed ahead of sentencing on September 12.
The girl endured invasive medical exams and HIV prophylaxis treatment during the investigation. "She’s been incredible," her mother said, praising her courage. Catherine Wear of the Crown Prosecution Service hailed the verdicts as justice for the "appalling crimes" that left the child shattered.
