Travis Kelce Arrives in Australia Ahead of Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Concerts in Sydney
Travis Kelce has traveled around the globe to show his support for Taylor Swift during the international leg of her “Eras Tour.”
On February 21, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end arrived in Sydney, Australia.
Footage from Australia’s “The Morning Show” captured the moment Kelce disembarked from a private plane on February 22 (local time), just ahead of Swift’s four shows at the Accor Stadium. Her inaugural performance at the stadium is scheduled for February 23.
This isn't the first time Kelce has journeyed far to catch the pop icon's performances. Last November, he flew to Argentina for one of Swift’s concerts in Buenos Aires.
During a particularly memorable three-hour set, Swift decided to give Kelce a special shoutout by slightly altering the lyrics of her song “Karma” to reference him. Instead of singing “Karma is the guy on the screen / Coming straight home to me,” she sang, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs / Coming straight home to me,” much to the delight of Swifties in attendance.
Numerous fans captured Kelce's reaction to the shoutout on social media. Standing next to Swift’s father, Scott Swift, Kelce playfully covered his face and grinned in response.
Should Kelce attend one of Swift’s Sydney concerts, it would mark his third time experiencing the “Eras Tour” live. Before they became romantically involved, Kelce recounted on his “New Heights” podcast how he attended a Kansas City show in July, even attempting to give Swift his number before their relationship blossomed.
Their romance has since made headlines, with Swift returning the favor by supporting Kelce at multiple Chiefs games. Following Swift’s four shows in Tokyo, where she performed before her largest audience yet, she made it to Las Vegas in time to witness Kelce’s team clinch victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58 on February 11.
After celebrating the win with a romantic moment on the field, the couple continued their festivities at the XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas. The club shared a video on its official Instagram account capturing the duo singing and sharing kisses while a remix of Swift’s song “Love Story” played in the background.
Swift resumed her “Eras Tour” shortly after and flew to Melbourne, Australia, to perform for her largest crowd ever on tour.
Following her concerts in Australia, Swift is set to head to Singapore for her next series of tour dates starting on March 2.
