A 17-year-old from Wisconsin is facing both state and federal charges after allegedly killing his parents as part of a plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump and incite a political revolution in the United States, according to newly unsealed court documents.

Nikita Casap is accused of murdering his mother, Tatiana Casap, and his stepfather, Donald Mayer, in a calculated effort to gain financial independence and autonomy to carry out an extremist plan, investigators stated in a federal affidavit. Casap faces nine felony counts in Wisconsin, including two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of hiding a corpse. At the federal level, authorities are pursuing charges of attempting to assassinate the president, conspiracy, and the use of weapons of mass destruction.

Authorities believe the murders took place on February 11. The victims’ bodies were not discovered until February 28, when Waukesha County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a welfare check at the family’s home. Both victims died of gunshot wounds. Casap was not present at the home at the time of the discovery, and Mayer’s SUV was reported stolen.

Later that evening, police in WaKeeney, Kansas, pulled over the stolen SUV and found Casap driving. Inside the vehicle, authorities discovered $14,000 in $100 bills, more than $14,000 in jewelry, and a .357 Magnum revolver purchased by Mayer.

A search of Casap’s phone revealed references to the Order of Nine Angles, a neo-Nazi extremist network, as well as communications and photos supporting a self-described manifesto that included plans to assassinate the president, create bombs, and carry out terrorist attacks. A three-page document found by the FBI called for Trump’s assassination to spark a political revolution and "save the white race." It included references to chaos following the removal of national leadership, images of Adolf Hitler, and slogans such as “HAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY.”

Investigators also found drone-related materials, including messages and images describing how to convert a drone into a weaponized device. Evidence indicated that Casap had at least partially paid for a drone and explosives. Photos of Mayer’s credit and debit cards, as well as bank account login credentials, were also discovered on Casap’s phone.

According to the affidavit, a classmate of Casap reported that the teen had spoken about plans to kill his parents but initially lacked access to a firearm. Casap later claimed he would befriend someone with a gun and steal it. He also told the classmate that he had been communicating with someone in Russia and was involved in a plan to overthrow the U.S. government and assassinate Trump.

Additional messages uncovered by detectives included references to Casap planning to flee the country for Ukraine. In one message sent via Telegram, he asked, “So while in Ukraine, I’ll be able to live a normal life? Even when it’s found out I did it?”

Casap is currently in custody and has not yet entered a plea on the state charges. His arraignment is scheduled for May 7 in Waukesha County.
