Several eyewitnesses reported that members of a task force were transporting an alleged tout when he attempted to escape while handcuffed.

During the pursuit, shots were fired, resulting in the unfortunate death of the individual.

In response, enraged members of his community set fire to the task force vehicle and allegedly ignited the police station located in the market.
