DHQ Unveils Identities Of 16 Slain Army Personnel Killed In Delta Community

On Monday, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) disclosed the identities of the 16 Army personnel from the 181 Amphibious Battalion who were ambushed and killed by suspected youths in the Okuama community of Ughelli South local government area in Delta State.
The personnel, which included the Commanding Officer, three senior officers, and 12 soldiers, were on a peacekeeping mission to Okuama when they were attacked without provocation by members of the community, resulting in their tragic deaths on Thursday.
Okuama community has been embroiled in a communal conflict with neighboring Okoloba community of Bomadi local government area in the State.
The DHQ released the names of the fallen Army officers and soldiers as follows:
