Guyanese influencer and musician Lola Doll, whose real name is Lolita Callender, is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in a drive-by attack outside her home, authorities confirmed.
The 33-year-old social media star was sitting in her car outside her East Ruimveldt residence just before midnight on Saturday when a gunman on a motorcycle opened fire. According to the Guyana Police Force, Doll sustained gunshot wounds to her neck, face, hands, and right leg. She was rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Police said preliminary investigations indicate that Doll was targeted as she sat in her vehicle. On Sunday, authorities named Paul Daby Jr. as the suspect wanted for attempted murder in connection with the shooting. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the neighborhood and continuing their search for the gunman, who fled immediately after the attack.
Doll has amassed over 52,000 Instagram followers and gained popularity in Guyana’s entertainment scene through her music and bold public persona. Known for flamboyant party appearances and provocative style, she has starred in music videos for her own tracks including “Snatched” and “Cement Body,” which have garnered hundreds of thousands of views.
The motive behind the shooting has not yet been established, and police confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.
