Cops in Indiana say they thwarted a Valentine’s Day mass shooting that an 18-year-old girl was allegedly plotting at her high school.
Trinity Shockley was arrested this week after authorities uncovered a plan to attack Mooresville High School, located southwest of Indianapolis. The FBI tipped off local police Tuesday evening about the alleged plot, prompting a raid on Shockley’s home and her immediate arrest.
Shockley is being held without bail and has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, threat to commit terrorism, and conspiracy to commit intimidation. If carried out, the attack would have occurred on the seventh anniversary of the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, which claimed 17 lives.

Shockley had previously been the focus of a community fundraiser after she was struck by a drunk driver on her way to school in 2022. She suffered head injuries and multiple broken bones, leaving her unable to walk for days, according to a GoFundMe set up by her family at the time.
The teen is the daughter of a 19-year U.S. military veteran. Her aunt, Angela Altmeyer, previously described her as an outgoing and fun-loving girl. However, authorities now believe she was planning a deadly attack, raising troubling questions about what led to this alleged plot.
