JetBlue Pilot Facing Child Sex Charges Dies by Suicide During Police Confrontation

A JetBlue pilot who was wanted on child sex charges died by suicide in the parking lot of a train station while being approached by law enforcement.
Jeremy Gudorf, 33, was inside a parked car at the Wonderland MBTA station in Revere, Massachusetts, when Massachusetts State Police and U.S. Marshals attempted to apprehend him. As officers approached, Gudorf produced a firearm and fatally shot himself.
Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Gudorf had been arrested on February 20 at Boston Logan Airport while preparing to board a flight to Paris. U.S. Customs and Border Protection had flagged an outstanding warrant from North Carolina for second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
During a court appearance on February 21, his attorney stated that Gudorf intended to return to North Carolina to address the charges. He was released on a $10,000 bond under the condition that he surrender to authorities by February 25.
However, Gudorf failed to comply, prompting authorities to issue a warrant for his arrest. Law enforcement officers were actively searching for him when they located him at the train station, leading to the fatal encounter.
