Rapper Lil Nas X was arrested early Thursday morning in Los Angeles after being seen walking nude along Ventura Boulevard, leading to charges of misdemeanor battery on a police officer and concerns of a possible drug overdose.
The 26-year-old artist, born Montero Lamar Hill, was initially spotted in white western boots and underwear but was later fully nude, shouting lyrics and making hand gestures as passing cars filmed the incident. At one point, he turned to a camera, exposing himself while rapping Nicki Minaj’s verse from Kanye West’s 2010 hit Monster.

Police reported that during the arrest, Lil Nas X struck an officer before being transported to a hospital for treatment of a suspected overdose. After receiving medical attention, he was transferred to jail, where he is expected to remain through the weekend ahead of his arraignment and bail hearing scheduled for Monday.
Security footage earlier in the night showed the Grammy winner at the Short Stories Hotel in jeans, a button-up shirt, and a cowboy hat before he stripped down while wandering the streets. Witnesses reported he placed a traffic cone on his head and told bystanders he was on his way to a party.

Italian climber Luca Sinigaglia, 49, was hailed a hero online after succumbing to the mountain’s brutal conditions during his own rescue effort.
Since being booked, law enforcement sources reported that Lil Nas X has kept a low profile in jail with no behavior issues. He has not performed for others inside the pre-arraignment facility, where inmates are typically held for short periods. He is currently being served standard meals, including cereal and fruit for breakfast, along with chicken dishes and bean-and-cheese burritos later in the day. Entertainment options available include books, bibles, board games, and local TV channels.

Just one day before his arrest, Lil Nas X posted a series of Instagram updates from home, including a bathrobe-clad video where he sang with a tambourine alongside the caption, “FREE THE PEOPLE! NOW!” Another post showed him in a fur coat and tiara-adorned cowboy hat with the caption: “OH NO sHES GONE MAD! CRAZY I TELL U!”
Fans flooded social media with messages of love and concern after the arrest, praising his impact on LGBTQ+ visibility and mental health. Supporters expressed their hopes for his recovery and well-being, with many saying his music has helped them embrace their identities and live authentically.
