Marvel star Jonathan Majors’s ex Grace Jabbari sues him for defamation and assault
Jonathan Majors' ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, has filed a federal lawsuit against him in New York, alleging defamation, assault, and battery. The lawsuit stems from Majors' repeated claims of innocence regarding an assault incident for which he was convicted last year.
The 31-year-old British dancer accused Majors of assaulting her on March 25, 2023, including slapping her, fracturing her finger, twisting her arm, and causing her to bleed from her right ear. Majors was arrested on that evening after finding Jabbari in his apartment and calling 911, suspecting a suicide attempt or overdose.
During the trial, Jabbari's testimony was central, with Majors' defense team accusing her of lying. Majors was convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree, facing a potential year in prison.
In response to the lawsuit, Majors' attorney, Priya Chaudhry, stated that he is preparing counterclaims against Jabbari. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $75,000 but does not specify a precise amount.
