Cassie Ventura Testifies Sean “Diddy” Combs Brought Britney Spears to Her 21st Birthday Before Initiating Romantic Relationship

Cassie Ventura testified Thursday in federal court that Sean “Diddy” Combs brought pop icon Britney Spears to her 21st birthday celebration in Las Vegas — the night she says marked the beginning of their romantic relationship. The revelation added another high-profile name to the growing list of celebrities mentioned in Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering trial.

According to Ventura, the former music mogul surprised her by bringing Spears and music producer Dallas Austin to the club party in Las Vegas. “Sean was there and he brought Dallas Austin, Britney Spears. I think those were the two people that stand out to me,” she told the court. Photographic evidence also places Paris Hilton at the event, which took place during her peak fame in the early 2000s.

That same night, the group was seen at another party hosted by rapper 50 Cent at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, adding another layer of celebrity context to the case. Ventura testified that until her 21st birthday, Combs — then 38 and 17 years her senior — had only been her music producer. But that night, she said, Combs kissed her for the first time, initiating what would become a deeply controversial and ultimately explosive romantic relationship.

Thursday’s testimony also brought more celebrity names into the courtroom. When defense attorney Anna Estevao questioned Ventura about Combs’ past jealousy and suspicions of infidelity, Ventura confirmed Combs had suspected her of being involved with actor Michael B. Jordan, star of the Creed and Black Panther franchises.

Ventura also referenced Whitney Houston’s death in 2012 while trying to recall the timeline of a near-fatal drug overdose suffered by Combs. “Do you remember when Mr. Combs overdosed in February 2012?” asked Estevao. “Was that around the time Whitney Houston died? I believe so,” Ventura responded.

Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. If convicted, he faces a potential life sentence. Ventura’s testimony comes as part of a broader federal case alleging that Combs orchestrated a sprawling and coercive network involving sex crimes, intimidation, and celebrity influence. The testimony has already named several major figures including Prince, Suge Knight, Drake, French Montana, and Kid Cudi.

The trial is expected to continue in the coming weeks as federal prosecutors lay out their case against the former hip-hop and business mogul.
